Drum Recitals by Students of Ashish Kukreja – 24th Sep 2017

Students of Drum Faculty Artist – Ashish Kukreja – will perform in the drum recitals today (24th Sep) at the #Sundayjam. The recitals will be followed by a performance by Ashish.

Ashish believes in being a student himself and recently returned from a week-long Drum workshop from Swarnabhoomi Academy Of Music (SAM), Chennai.

Here is what he has to say about his journey as a drummer:

Drumming has always been a passion of mine since I was 16. Before that, I used to play congo in my school orchestra. I had the most fun doing that and somehow, it inspired me to pick up the drums and percussions. Watching my orchestra teacher and other senior students play gave me the motivation and skill to Drum!

Whatever I play till date that's all because of following few legendary drummers, playing with a number of bands and my Musical knowledge for rhythm.

It's been just 6 months, that I've started learning drums professionally by Mr.Arjun Menon. He is a person who just makes me feel more motivated to be a drummer.

I always give a big Credit to Muziclub for whatever I am today. Like so many others, I came to Muziclub in 2013 as a Sundayjammer. Now I am part of the staff, content team and the faculty artist for drums.

I'll just say that Muziclub is the best thing that has happened to me in Pune!
